Niqab is blessing of Allah’s Almighty to a girl through which she can cover her own face from devil eyes of men. Basically, Niqab is the covering of face that veils the virtual totality of the face and body above the shoulder. It is consider as a part of Hijab. The Niqab differs from chador. In Hadith ,Narrated Safiya bint Shaiba:
‘Aisha used to say: “When (the Verse): “They should draw their veils over their necks and bosoms,” was revealed, (the ladies) cut their waist sheets at the edges and covered their faces with the cut pieces.”
Hijab and Niqab
Hijab is the way for a girl to looks modest and to protect her dignity. Hijab is actually considered as a part of women proper dress which is wear by women to show obligation to her religion. It suits to women of every age but in eastern peoples there is a tradition of wearing Hijab with Niqab. As stated in Holy Quran: ‘And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to their own husbands or fathers or husbands’ fathers, or their sons or their husbands’ sons, or their brothers or their brothers’ sons or sisters’ sons, or their women, or their slaves, or male attendants who lack vigour, or children who know naught of women’s nakedness. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn unto Allah together, O believers, in order that ye may succeed.’ (An-Nur 24:31). This verse shows the importance of both Hijab and Niqab.
In Hijab face is not covered while in Niqab it is compulsory to cover face, hands and other body parts. On the other hand, Hijab is the second name of Niqab.
Niqab with Hijab is a path to please God and the way to remain away from sins and devil. In such a manner a girl can feel more comfortable and do her job in front of men, in relaxing manner.
